Length: 2 Days (Some: 1 Day)
Customs: Dipping apples in honey; Casting off "sins" into river
Greeting: L'shanah tovah! (For a good year!)

Wednesday, September 8th - 7:30pm

Yom Kippur


Significance:
Day of Atonement
Observances: Fasting, Prayer and Repentance
Length: 25 Hours
Greeting: Have an easy fast
Liturgy additions: Annulment of vows; lengthy confession of sins

Saturday, September 18th - 11:00am

Sukkot

Significance:
Remembers the wandering in the dessert; also a harvest festival
Observances: Building and "dwelling" in a booth; waving branches and a fruit during services
Length: 7 days

September 23rd through the 30th.

The Lord said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: "These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies" Lev 23:2

* We will celebrate Rosh HaShanah on Wednesday September 8th at 7:30pm .

* Our traditional Yom Kippur service will be at 11am on September 18th. 

* Sukkot begins September 23rd through the 30th.  (Join Us Fri - Sun)
We will be camping out at Victoria Campground - Friday the 24th, Saturday the 25th and half a day Sunday, the 26th  (not many of us can take off for 8 days!) 
Please note there will be no Messianic service for Tikvah l'Chaim at TLC Church that Shabbat. We will have Shabbat as G-d intended for us beneath the Sukkah!  Come Camp with us, OR just come when you can. (one night, the weekend, or just for the day). There will be a campfire, food, Shabbat Service on Saturday at 11am and of course great fellowship! (we will be depending on G-d for good weather just as our ancestors did in their booths).  Everyone is welcome to join us! We have reserved sites 68, 70 & 71 so  please call Rabbi Gary at 678 936-4125 or email him at rabbigary@tlchaim.com if you intend to camp overnight with us.

*Directions to Victoria Campground are as follows:  From TLC (Town Lake Prkwy) go toward Kroger and turn Rt on Town Lake Parkway.  Turn Rt on Bellsferry heading North.  Turn left onto Victoria Rd (at the Citgo on the left) and follow the signs to Victoria Campgrounds.  Hope to see you there Shalom!
